Terms
Last updated 24 October 2026. Draft, not yet reviewed by a lawyer; not legal advice.
These terms cover the PlatePace iOS app and this website. By using either, you agree to them. For the app, Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies.
Who can use PlatePace
You must be 18 or older to use the app or join the waitlist.
Estimates, not medical advice
Anything PlatePace shows or describes is an estimate based on information you provide. It is not medical, dietetic or nutrition advice and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any condition. Consult a qualified professional before changing your diet or training, especially if you have a medical condition, are pregnant or breastfeeding, or have a history of disordered eating. Stop and seek help if you feel unwell.
Subscriptions
- Some app features may need a paid subscription. Prices and what is included are shown in the app before you buy, and may vary by country.
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID account when you confirm the purchase.
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the same price and period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for the renewal within the 24 hours before the period ends.
- Manage or cancel in your Apple ID settings: on iPhone, open Settings > your name > Subscriptions. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
- If a free trial is offered, any unused part of it ends when you buy a subscription.
- Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies; we cannot issue App Store refunds ourselves.
- Use Restore purchases in the app to reactivate a subscription on a new device.
Your data
Your app data stays on your device and is your responsibility to back up. See the privacy policy for details.
The website and waitlist
The website describes a product in development and lets you join a waitlist. Joining creates no obligation for you or for us, and nothing is sold on the website.
No guarantees
Features, platforms, timelines and pricing may change. The app and site are provided as is, without warranties, and to the extent the law allows we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that cannot be excluded.
Acceptable use
Don’t submit other people’s email addresses, reverse engineer or resell the app, or attempt to disrupt the site or its waitlist form.
Changes
We may update these terms; the new version will be posted here with a new date.
